This site is run by two guys, Sam and Mr. Porch who don’t claim to be experts on much of anything but one thing is for sure, they enjoy a good cigar and a cold beer.
This site was put together to share what they feel about different cigars and beer and all reviews are written by regular, everyday guys, and in layman’s terms.
We welcome comments on the reviews, so if you read a review and have a thought, feel free to share it!
About Sam -
A little bit about me? OK, I’m a mid-thirty married with children and work in a heavy industrial environment. I work a lot but when it’s play time it normally involves a cigar and a cold beer, very often in the company of Mr. Porch.

Beer of Choice: When we started this site, I was “All the way Samuel Adams”. However, I am now hooked on Goose Island beers, probably Honkers Ale.

I tend to prefer wheat beers and ales and normally stay away from big box “high volume” beers unless there’s really nothing else to drink. I’m not a huge fan of motor oil heavy beer either but I’ll try just about anything once.

Cigar of Choice: Hmm, now that’s a tough one. I guess it depends on the mood and what I’m having it with. If I’m having a cigar at work over a cup of coffee, I’ll enjoy something a bit milder like a Rocky Patel Connecticut. If I’m hanging out and drinking a good wheat beer I’ll go for something a bit fuller like an Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro Maduro.

Quote: “There’s two kinds of beers. There’s beer you drink just to drink, and there’s beer you drink and can talk about”

“Cigars can be an expensive hobby, kinda like smoking.”

Advice- Never judge a beer by the label, or a cigar by the band.

About Mr. Porch -Mr.Porch from Beer and Cigars.net
Here’s my story. I’m in my mid forties with a wife and two teenage daughters. I also work shift work in a heavy industrial environment, and when it’s time to relax, I like to relax. Work hard, Play hard is what I always say. And when I play, I do the things I enjoy, like drink a good beer and smoke a cigar. College Hockey and High School Football are my favorite spectator sports and I love to play golf.

Beer of Choice- I keep Killians on tap, but I really love all the beer that Sierra Nevada have put out, their Celebration Ale that only comes out around Christmas time is one of the best beers I’ve had in a long time.

Cigar of Choice- Not sure. I haven’t tried them all yet. The Legends series from Cigars International has always been the one I turn to for special occasions and these have never failed me.

Quote- “Life is just too short not to share a beer and cigar with a good friend or two from time to time.”

Advice- There is a beer and cigar for every occasion. Do your best trying to find the occasion for every beer and cigar. Such is the fun of life.
