Eliot Ness Amber Lager

Eliot Ness Amber LagerThis lager is brewed by the Great Lakes Brewing Company. As I was pouring the beer, I noticed there wasn’t all that much of a head developing but it was a light brown color. The color of the brew was a dark amber and when I finally took a drink I thought my whole face puckered. The malts and hops come together and BAM! there it is.

The taste stays with you for a while as well. This might be one of those special occasion beers, or one you drink with big spaghetti dinner, I don’t know. I’m not sure I like this beer, but I have five more to drink. I might just give them to Mr. Porch and see what he thinks about them.

Heck yeah, give ‘em here!!!! My buddy John gave me a few that were left over from a party at my other buddy Jim’s house. I love this beer. It reminds me of Killians with a little less malt and a little more hops. This is a beer you can drink with a meal AND for desert. Goes good with a cigar too. But then again, what doesn’t?

What's your take?
