Rolling Rock

Rolling Rock BeerBrewed by the Latrobe Brewing Company, Rolling Rock Lager is one of those beers I consider to be common, “Volume Beers”. It’s not a beer I would typically stock in my refrigerator. I was at a cookout today, and my father has Rolling Rock on tap so that’s what I had in my glass today.

As I drew from the tap, the head swelled greatly then dissipated quickly. It doesn’t taste bad at all and my wife said she kinda liked it. As I ate my lunch and played outdoor games people play during cookouts, I refilled my glass several times until I started to feel the affects of the alcohol.

Overall, not bad. Not one I’d run out and buy. I think this would be a decent beer to consider having in a keg at your house, for when there’s nothing else to drink.

Sam, I have to say, you have found the perfect situation for this beer. AND you described it to a tee. Not a beer I would have on hand on a regular basis, but if I was at a cookout playing horseshoes this is not a bad choice. I like the greem bottle and the painted on label. Adds a touch of class to the experience. I would rate this one an “O+”

I never gave rolling rock a chance, until someone got a keg of it, and exposed me to it. I was a bit surprised on how light it tasted.
