I’ve never tried this brew, and I generally like Sam Adams beers so I thought I’d give it a go. I poured it in my glass, just like I have been doing quite religiously lately and found the dark color attractive, and the head was frothy, sticking to the sides of my glass.

After my first drink, I had sudden taste bud confusion. I knew I was drinking beer, but tasted like I was drinking beef jerky. The beer had a hickory/smoked flavor. It didn’t taste altogether bad and am glad I tried it, but I doubt I’ll be buying any more of these.
