Dear Beer Diary,
Today was an awful day. As you know, my kegorator ran out of Samuel Adams Boston Lager a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve been slow to refill due to my reduced work hours, and reduced paychecks. I made it a point to head to The Party Source to get a 1/6 bbl. of Samuel Adams Spring seasonal, the White Ale that I truly to love.
When I got the the Party Source, they only had the White Ale in the 1/2 bbl and I wasn’t financial prepared to blow that kind of money today. I searched through the selection in the beer cave and came across a 1/6 bbl. of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I was pleased for sure!
After I got home, I asked my son to video as I tapped the new keg, and was going to post the video on here as an instructional. To make a long story short, the video recording didn’t go as planned and after I tapped the keg, I went to pour a glass and the valve on the fountain was stuck and broke, rendering the keg undrinkable.
I made some emergency phone calls, and the only place I could find that carried these new fountains on a Saturday afternoon was the Party source. Did I mention the Party Source was thirty minutes away in Kentucky? Back I went and after another $16 I was back in business.
At the end of the day, I got to enjoy a fresh Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I’m looking forward to having Mr. Porch over for a pour or three as I know he likes that beer.
