Tap Room 21 Pale Ale

Mr. Porch came over after dinner this week for a session that included and Arturo Fuente cigar and a brew I picked up at the local grocery. The beer is brewed by the Tap Room No. 21 Brewing Co, and this was their Pale Ale.

We poured the beer, and found the beer had a crisp amber color to it, with a frothy white head. This beer really didn’t have anything special to note about the aroma, it just “smelled like beer”.

With my first drink, I certainly enjoyed it, even though there was a hoppy, bitter aftertaste. As I continued to drink, the lacy head followed the beer down the side of the glass. This is a good beer. I had one or two more in this session, and left feeling satisfied.

Lack of “wow” and the aftertaste aren’t enough to keep me from drinking this beer, but will force me to score this beer with a B+. I’ll be drinking more of these in the near future.
