What can I say about this one? Probably the best cigar I ever had. Lots of thick white smoke with every drag. I wasn’t sure what the term “Velvety” meant until I had one of these. Now I know. Smoother than smooth. Cuba can keep their cigars, we have 5 Vegas Gold. I got these with a sampler pack from Cigars International and of the 5 different styles of 5 Vegas I recieved, these are by far the best. They are a little pricey but I can justify buying these from time to time with the mindset that you get what you pay for. I would break these out for special occasions, like a reunion with an out of town relative after a cookout or when welcoming a new comer to the porch.
My birthday is coming up and if you are looking for gift ideas…..well……I hate to ask, but….you get the picture. I hope I always find one of these in my humidor.

I may have stumbled upon the perfect Porch match. Yesterday was a pretty stressful day at the mill. So I decided to hit the Porch with the first cigar I grabbed out of my humidor and the first bottle I took from my beer fridge. I did kind of a “cover your eyes and point” method to arm myself for the next couple of hours of relaxation. The humidor coughed up a 5 Vegas Classic red label and the all too trusty beer fridge pointed me to a Leinenkugel Big Butt Dopplebock. Man, what a pair! The beer was smooth and the flavor lasted until the next drink. I didn’t realize it until recently, but I am slowly becoming a big fan of the bock beers and this one is one of the best yet. As for the cigar, I haven’t had a 5 Vegas that I didn’t like. Medium to full flavor, lots of thick white smoke and not too harsh on the nose. It had an even burn all the way down and lasted about an hour and a half. I hope to repeat this combo over and over again. Maybe next time it will be at a golf course or a campground.
